• Phone number (optional — used for SMS notifications if you opt in, and for optional phone sign-in)
• Name — your full name for tickets, and, where required, your legal first, middle, and last name for identity verification and ticketing
• Date of birth (used to verify eligibility for age-restricted events and for birthday messages)
• Sex or gender (optional, used for personalization)
• Payment information (processed and stored by Stripe — Scenr does not store card data)
• Event and organizer information provided by Organizers

1.2 Information collected automatically:

• Device type, browser, and operating system
• IP address and approximate location
• Pages visited and features used on Scenr
• Ticket scan timestamps and check-in data

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Process ticket purchases and issue refunds
• Send one-time passcodes for authentication
• Send ticket confirmations, event updates, and important notifications by email (and by SMS if you have opted in)
• Enable ticket transfer and assignment features
• Detect and prevent fraud and abuse
• Improve the Scenr platform and user experience
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not display ads.

3. SMS Communications

SMS notifications are sent only if you affirmatively opt in by checking the SMS consent box, which is unchecked by default. Opting in is not a condition of creating an account or purchasing tickets. If you opt in, messages may include:

• Ticket purchase confirmations
• Refund notifications
• Event cancellation alerts
• Ticket transfer notifications

You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP; reply HELP for help. One-time sign-in codes are separate — they are sent only when you request them as part of signing in.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your activity.

4. Information Sharing

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

4.1 With Organizers. When you purchase a ticket, we share your name with the event Organizer for check-in and attendance purposes. We do not share your phone number or payment information with Organizers.

4.2 With Service Providers. We use the following third-party services that may process your data on our behalf:

• Stripe — payment processing and Stripe Connect for Organizer payouts
• Resend — transactional and marketing email delivery
• Twilio — SMS delivery (only if you opt in)
• Railway — application and PostgreSQL database hosting
• Supabase — image and file storage
• Google — OAuth sign-in (only if you choose it)

Each service provider is bound by their own privacy and data protection policies.

4.3 Legal Requirements. We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Scenr, our users, or the public.

4.4 Business Transfers. If Scenr is acquired or merges with another entity, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Transaction records are retained for a minimum of 7 years for tax and legal compliance purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at privacy@getscenr.com, subject to retention obligations.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure token-based authentication, and rotating QR codes for ticket validation. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to protecting your data.

7. Children's Privacy

Scenr is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of certain data uses

9. Cookies and Tracking

Scenr uses minimal tracking. We use essential session data stored in your browser to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or sell data to data brokers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notification. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last updated.
